Tom Jacobson has had more than 80 productions in Los Angeles and around the country, including CAPTAIN OF THE BIBLE QUIZ TEAM, HOUSE OF THE RISING SON, THE CHINESE MASSACRE (ANNOTATED), THE BELOVED DISCIPLE, DIET OF WORMS, CYBERQUEER, and DEGENERATE ART. His adaptations SPERM at Circle X and THE ORANGE GROVE at Playwrights Arena were Critics Choice in the Los Angeles Times.  The Road Theatre Company's 2008 THE FRIENDLY HOUR followed their 1998 production of TAINTED BLOOD (winner of seven Valley Theatre League Awards), their 2004 production of OUROBOROS (Garland Award for playwriting, LA Weekly Awards for playwriting and Production of the Year), and their 2005 production of BUNBURY, which was nominated for a GLAAD Award and an Ovation Award, and won several Valley Theatre League and Ticketholder Awards. THE TWENTIETH-CENTURY WAY at The Theatre @ Boston Court went on to garner acclaim at the New York International Fringe Festival and Off Broadway at Rattlestick Playwrights Theatre. In 2016 he was one of the librettists of HOPSCOTCH (A MOBILE OPERA).  THE DEVIL'S WIFE at Skylight Theatre and WALKING TO BUCHENWALD at Open Fist Theatre Company premiered in 2017.  A trilogy, THE BALLAD OF BIMINI BATHS, premieres at Son of Semele Ensemble, Playwrights Arena and Rogue Machine Theatre Company in 2018.  Tom serves on the board of Boston Court Performing Arts Center.
